Partnering with Family Promise of Greater Lafayette, Trinity hosts two to four families (up to fourteen people) several times a year. Host Congregations provide meals (supper, breakfast, and brownbag lunch) and hospitality. Families stay at the new Family Promise Building.
Volunteers from Trinity cook and serve meals, play with children, and help with homework. Beyond these services, our volunteers interact with guests, treating them with respect and responding with compassion. This is an opportunity for the whole family to volunteer on some level.
During the day, guests work or attend the FPGL Day Center, where FPGL staff help guests find jobs and housing and guests can utilize the shower and laundry facilities. FPGL also provides transportation between the Host Congregation and Day Center. The FPGL van also provides transportation to employment interviews, housing searches, medical/dental appointments, and to social agencies.
FPGL is a self-supporting, non-profit organization and is always seeking donations (both material and monetary), grants, and fundraising opportunities.
