CAMP+, March 27-29 at Pine Creek, begins at 4pm. Camp Plus is for all students 6th-12th grade. Youth will learn how they can live a missional life for Christ now as students and will become better prepared to lead the church in the future and present. Cost is $25 per student and includes all food, lodging, materials, and activities. Youth will have lively worship, cabin & personal devotion time and leadership training that will empower them to become the leaders God has called them to be. If you are interested in attending Camp+, contact Melissa and Aaron. Camp scholarships are available, contact Melissa and Aaron if you need a camp scholarship.
In the United Methodist Church our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. That includes people of all ages, and we want to take seriously the call to make disciples of the youth in our community. To do that, we are launching The 167, a collaborative community youth group that will meet on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:30p.m. at one of the local United Methodist Churches in our city. Heading up this undertaking is Aaron Osborne from Christ United Methodist Church and Melissa Kramer from Trinity United Methodist Church. They are assisted by youth volunteers from each congregation and overseen by a team comprised of individuals from each church.
ALL students from 4th grade to 12th grade are welcome to come and experience an incredible time of fun, food, small groups, service, and much more.
The167 Grant Update Meeting.
The167 is a grant-funded cooperative youth ministry. The grant for ministry will not continue beyond the end of the school year. All students and parents are invited to attend a Q&A session regarding this change on Sunday, March 1, 5-5:30 p.m. at Christ UMC. The session will be led by Aaron and Melissa along with their supervisors of the
cooperative ministry, Pastors Ryan Traeger and Kurt Freeman.
