CHURCH NURSERY WORKER (Updated August 2025):
Hourly Position: Approx. 2-3 hours per week
Rate: $15 per hour

Job Description:
- Responsible for age-appropriate care which includes: feeding, changing diapers, maintaining a safe environment, putting children down for naps, holding, sitting with and cheerfully interacting with children through games, stories, crafts and play.
- Polite, friendly, and courteous to all children, parents, and volunteers.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to nursery opening.
- Stay until all children are secured with a responsible adult named on the child’s registration or noted in writing by legal guardian.
- Straighten room, clean any used toys/beds, and wipe all surfaces before leaving.
- Assistance with other tasks on direction of Pastor of Youth & Families and to help with general programming when needed.
- Must be available to work on Sunday mornings.
- Work holidays that fall on Sunday. May be needed at other times including Christmas Eve, Holy Week, and for meetings where childcare is offered.
- Abide by nursery policies and classroom expectations
- Communicate in advance, directly on phone, by e-mail or in person to the Pastor of Youth & Families:
- Planned absence must be given at least two weeks ahead of time.
- In case of last-minute illness, contact Director of Children’s Ministry immediately.
Qualifications:
- Experienced in the care of children 0-4 years of age with the ability to adapt and interact with a variety of personalities and characteristics.
- 18 years of age or older
- Willing to submit to background check.
- Must have current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR training and First Aid training for infants and children, or be willing to complete such training.
