Children and Family Ministry
Children's Worship
Families, your safety is our top priority. All volunteers will be required to wear masks the entire time, and children are encouraged to wear a mask, but social distancing measures will be in place. Children will begin service in the sanctuary with their families. Pastor Mack will dismiss the kids for children’s worship shortly after the start of worship. Children’s worship takes place in the basement Fellowship Hall. During children’s worship, kids play games, learn a Bible story, and complete other crafts and activities to reinforce our lesson. All families have their own bin of craft supplies that only their children use. Contact Mack, Director of Congregational Ministries for questions, mack@trinitylafayette.org. Children’s Activity Tables During Worship Trinity has two small activity tables at the back of the sanctuary. These tables are for children not yet old enough for children’s worship, or any child who may not want to attend children’s worship but needs some space to create and move around during the service. Chairs for adults are located near the tables so that you can sit by your child. Also, at the back of the sanctuary near the tables are activity bags with crayons, coloring pages, blank paper, and a few other quiet toys. Are you a first-time visitor? We have activity bags (not previously used) ready for your child's name to be added to it! By making individual activity bags available for our children, we hope to keep all of our families safe and healthy while worshiping together. Children’s Sunday School - currently unavailable Children are invited to join us every Sunday morning for Sunday school (nursery care is always available during the Sunday school hour and worship service). At the beginning of 2020, we started a series on the fruit of the Spirit. During Sunday school, children have the opportunity to learn about God, prayer, reading the Bible, and they are encouraged to ask tough questions! Sunday school begins at 9:15 am and meets in the Fellowship Hall. Check out the weekly activities/lessons posted in the Trinity Families Facebook group as well as other online offerings posted on Facebook and the home page. |
Sunday Morning SafetyTrinity’s Children’s Ministry team is always working to ensure a clean and safe environment for all our families. For this reason, we ask that all families who use our nursery and participate in children’s ministry complete an activity release form. This provides our staff with parent/emergency contact information so that we can quickly reach parents in the case of an emergency. If there is ever a change in contact information, please alert Mack or one of our nursery staff members right away.
All volunteers are background checked and a volunteer is never left alone with a child. If you would like to review our child safety policies, click the button below. Feel free to contact Mack Owings, Pastor of Youth & Families at mack@trinitylafayette.org. Trinity offers a multitude of programs for our youngest members and their friends. We strive to enable the children to learn at their own pace while they participate in a variety of activities while growing in Christ’s name. .
