Welcome to Lent 2021.  The focus of this devotional booklet is the question:  What Do  You See?
  • We begin the week of Feb. 21 with reflections that invite us to examine our own perspective.  What is it we choose to see, especially during those times we find ourselves in experiences of wilderness or testing?
  • During the week of Feb. 28, we look at Jesus’ words about how he came as light to the world;  a light that naturally draws what is true and authentic.
  • Devotions during the week of March 7 encourage us consider how we more authentically invite others to “come and see” Jesus for themselves.
  • During the week of March 14, the miracle of the loaves and fishes inspires reflection around how we see Jesus and what it is we are truly seeking in a relationship with him.
  • The week of March 21 presents devotions that invite us to consider how God’s good works are seen in and through us.
  • Holy Week devotions keep us mindful that Jesus came to show us God.
Focused around these themes of light, seeing and perceiving, may these reflections allow you to make the prayer of Richard of Chichester your own: O most merciful redeemer, friend and brother, may we see Thee more clearly, love Thee more dearly, and follow Thee more nearly, day by day.
