The transformation of the parlor will be complete in the next couple weeks. By the time this newsletter is published we will be days away from opening the room. There are still a few pieces of furniture available. Please contact me if you are interested or know of anyone interested. As a reminder we are using funds donated specifically for this renovation and funds from the sale of the education building, which by Discipline can only be used to pay off debt and/or make capital improvements. The ramp door has been repaired and is now fully functioning. Also, on the south side of the church, we are working to improve the yard space. The labyrinth has been removed and sod is now in its place. Maintenance volunteers along with volunteers from Brianna’s Hope spent many hours cleaning beds and cutting down over grown shrubs. A group of church members and community representatives will meet to work on creating a welcoming outdoor space. Make sure you visit our youth room, volunteers have given it a fresh new and welcoming look. In addition to serving as our youth room this space will be used during Trinity Fusion. The bids to restore our bricks on the west elevation have been received and we are currently finalizing the contracts. Work should start by the end of September. Please expect the alley to be closed during the week. Finally, it is important to me each month to thank the volunteers who have worked so hard maintaining our buildings; your service and dedication is appreciated.
